Hard-working people suffer daily from exhaustion, insomnia, backaches and other minor ailments. Perhaps all they need is a dose of preventive medicine in the form of vitamins and other nutritional supplements.

On April 1, a private service, called Tenteki10, opened in Ebisu Garden Place, to provide “pick-me-ups” through IV drips. People can drop by without a reservation and take the 10-minute instillation right away.

Tenteki10, which is located on the 4th floor of Ebisu Garden Place Tower, operates as a subsidiary of a medical clinic. Because it is a medical practice, the drip is given by nurses and doctors. However, it is not covered by National Health Insurance.

Ah. And apparently, Powerbooks has a new online bookstore. This makes me happy even though I tend to be cash-strapped. Browsing through their book list now, and it's limited as of the moment. *shrugs* Ah well. Still, browsing through the actual bookstore's my preferred mode of looking for books. ^^ Fully Booked has a wider selection than this.

The Secret of Lost Things and Then We Came to the End both seem to be good reads.

Watched the first few minutes of Mnemosyne episode 1 earlier. It looks interesting.

Life is strange. You'd enter something not knowing how much it would change your habits, the people you interact with, and even your world. When it's time to pack your bags and to hit the road, you know you're going to miss it all and you feel something die inside you, but hey -- it's been one hell of a ride.

Additional post-college goal: make sure that the job I get (or jobs, because I feel like doing several part time jobs at this point in time) doesn't eat up the rest of my life. I know I have workaholic tendencies sometimes, and it's kinda coming out in this internship. *headdesk*

Tomorrow's going to be one long day because we're anticipating a lot of applicants. Margh. Will need sugar to wake me up or something. Might bring something to snack on.

I miss fandom.

Watched the Battlestar Galactica mini-series yesterday. It was intense, gripping, desperate, and so, so human.

There's something about war-themed media that always makes me react. I get restless when I watch them, and oft I wonder what I'd do in such situations. Would I survive and live on? Would I become just another casualty? Or would my mind break in despairing the futility of everything? We are but mere specks in the universe made of carbon, oxygen, calcium, nitrogen, hydrogen, and other elements. Looking at our world from this perspective, does anything we do matter at all?

We've built a nice little spot for ourselves, but against the infinite it is weak.

Speaking of war -- I've heard in the news yesterday (or was that Friday?) that there are countries that have taken to arms to protect their food supplies and crops. Times are getting desperate. I honestly don't know if that's happening here, nor do I know what's happening in the provinces in general. The funny thing is that we only hear about rice shortages -- what about the other food crops? Will we have enough to sustain ourselves in the next harvest? How long will this crisis last?

Sometimes, I wonder if someone's going to actually investigate what's going on in the farmlands.

Random bit of trivia: did you know that it takes 30 years to flush out the poisons after using chemicals on the soil?
